ACRL Washington State Chapter Board Position Description: Immediate Past-President

Requirements:
The Immediate Past-President must be a member of the Washington State Chapter of ACRL.
Terms:
The Immediate Past-President shall serve a one-year term, which begins July 1. A vacancy in the Past-President position on the Board will not be filled.
Duties:
- The Past-President shall serve as a voting member on the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the annual elections process. At his or her discretion, the Past-President may appoint two Chapter Members to an Elections Committee for the annual elections. If an Elections Committee is appointed, the Past-President will chair the Elections Committee, and announce the appointment of Elections Committee members to the Chapter membership.
- Turn over his/her records to the President at the end of his or her term.
Deadlines:
January: If any are appointed, announce Elections Committee members on the Chapter email list and Chapter web site before the call for nominations goes out to the Chapter membership.
February: Send out a call for nominations to Chapter members and present the slate of candidates to the Board for approval. March: Announce slate of candidates to the membership and send ballots to the Chapter email list. Allow 21 days for voting to take place. Tally and announce results to membership.
